June 2 - 7 in Downtown Atlanta

Mission experiences are a vital part of Highland Hills Baptist Church. We teach missions, give to support missions, and go out and live missions in our daily lives. During the summer of 2014, we will also offer an opportunity for individuals and families to experience a weeklong mission trip in nearby Atlanta.

HHBC’s 2014 summer mission trip, which will be an urban poverty immersion experience, will take place on June 2 – 7 in downtown Atlanta. We will partner through Park Avenue Baptist Church with Jen and Trey Lyon, CBF field personnel, to work and serve in ministries such as soup kitchens, clothing closets, neighborhood summer camps, and construction work. Each evening, the team will help in Park Avenue's Vacation Bible School.

The mission trip’s close proximity and flexible schedule will allow adults and youth to serve for the entire week, while other church members, including families with children, may choose to join the team on Friday through Sunday. Our children and their families will have a special day of ministry and fun on Friday, June 6.

Sign-up sheets for the mission trip are available in the Great Room and the office, or you can call Renee Bennett to sign up. Plan to be a part of the team as we answer God’s call to be the presence of Christ in our world.
