Sunday, March 15
At Highland Hills, where each member is encouraged to use their gifts in service to God, it is not uncommon to see the women of our fellowship offering their gifts in worship leadership. Each year we hold a Women’s Day Weekend to celebrate the giftedness of the women of Highland Hills.
This year our Women’s Day Service will be held on Sunday, March 15, during the morning worship hour. Emily Andrews, professor of church music at the Mercer University Townsend School of Music will be our guest preacher for the morning. Women from our fellowship will guide us in worship through prayers, special music, and readings.
Another highlight of the morning will be our Women’s Day Choir. All ladies are invited to participate in this special choir. The anthem will be a beautiful arrangement of “Rejoice, Give Thanks and Sing.” You have two opportunities to rehearse this piece. The first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the choir loft and again on Sunday, March 15, at 10:30 a.m. in the choir room. If you can’t make the brief rehearsal on Wednesday, still plan to join the choir on Sunday morning.
On this Sunday, and every Sunday, may we join our hearts in worship and celebrate God’s good gifts to our church.
