Last Easter, we began an new tradition at Highland Hills - an Easter tradition at Highland Hills - an Easter Flower Cross. This year on Easter Sunday, we will again place flowers on a large cross, filling this symbol with the flowers that blossom in our own lives.
You are asked to bring a flower and place it on the cross as you arrive on Easter morning. Bring freshly cut flowers or ones that you purchase. You might bring flowers that hold special meaning for you this year: your mother's favorite bloom, a wildflower that represents a difficult season for you, or a flower that represents each of your children. Place your flowers on the cross and consider the wonder of how God makes beauty from ashes, and blooms where there was once brokenness. Flowers will be available for guests.
