Highland Hills will help meet the needs of flood victims in Louisiana in two ways. Funds from our Missions Committee will be sent as part of a gift from CBF/Georgia to CBF/Louisiana. This gift will support a volunteer coordinator to mobilize volunteers to work in flood damaged areas.

We will also collect school supplies for children whose homes and schools have flooded. Gene and Gayle Wager, parents of HHBC member and Baton Rouge native Angela Blankenship, are coordinating supplies for this immediate need.

Please donate either a filled backpack or classroom supplies by Sunday, September 4, 2016. Click here for a list of backpack items and classroom supplies. Donation boxes are located near the church office.

HHBC is also in conversation with nearby churches to coordinate a volunteer trip to Baton Rouge for flood relief work. If you are interested in volunteering in this way, see Renee Bennett or send an email to churchoffice@highlandhillsbaptist.org. We will continue to share details as they develop.
