Camp Create is coming to Highland Hills this summer, and we are in need of volunteers to help staff this camp!

Camp Create will be held on Monday – Friday, June 3-7 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a Celebration Sunday morning event on June 9. The theme for this year’s camp is Better Together. During this week children from 4K – 5th grade will learn about the love and care it takes to be a good neighbor and will discover the joy of working together to share and experience God’s love.

Local artists, scientists, musicians, and chefs will be on our campus to guide our children in hands-on creating. Each day of the week will have a different creative focus consisting of: Hand Lettering and Drawing, Cooking, Science, Painting, and Drama. Each day there will be Bible study, worship, music, and games. The week will culminate in a Sunday Celebration that will take place during our morning worship service and be followed by lunch and an art gallery display.

We need help from our HHBC members for the week run smoothly. Volunteers are needed to serve in several different capacities. Unlike our traditional VBS, there is no decorating to do and no curriculum preparation! Mostly, adults are needed to work with 5K – 5th graders to “shepherd” the children throughout the morning - to greet them, sit with them in worship, assist them in their classes, guide them from place to place, and keep them on task. We will need a few volunteers to be more hands-on with our 4K class, plus volunteers are needed for our nursery area. We will also need greeters, check-in volunteers, and snack volunteers.

If you are willing to be a part of the first-ever Camp Create as a volunteer, please let Ruth know. It’s going to be a fun week of learning how to be Better Together!
