Space for youth...
Highland Hills offers teens a welcoming place where they can grow in faith, discover supportive Christian friendships, get involved in service, and have fun! Our newly renovated youth center, called “Main Street,” is where we gather for Bible study, fellowship, and just to hang out.
Cass DuCharme, Associate Pastor of Music and Youth, provides ministerial leadership for the youth program, along with a team of parents and adults. Highlights of our youth ministry include the annual ski trip, March Mission Madness, the summer mission trip to PASSPORT Youth Camps, and regular fellowship and fun events.
The church is having a reception to honor Jim and Sonya Dant on Sunday, February 12 immediately following the morning service in the Great Room from noon - 2:00 p.m.
The hospitality committee would like for 6-8 of our youth to help serve and pick up cups, plates, etc. during the reception. Of course, you will also be able to eat all of the good food, too. If you would like to help, please let Cass know.
Youth Choir!
I wanted to let you know that we will not be singing on Sunday night, February 12, as we had previously planned. We are now singing next Wednesday night, February 8 during Prayer Service in the chapel.
Please make plans to be in choir practice on Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m. so that we will be prepared to sing that evening.
The youth group will be taking a weekend ski trip to Ski Beech in Beech Mountain, North Carolina on Friday, February 3 - 5, 2012.
For youth attending ski trip: We will be leaving from Mable White Baptist Church this Friday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m. Please be on time so that we can leave by 3. We will return on Sunday afternoon around 5:00 p.m. at Highland Hills in time for the Super Bowl party.
(FYI: If you need to leave your car at Mable White, we can stop by there on our way to the church Sunday afternoon so you can get it.)

March Missions Madness is a weekend of service, worship and fellowship organized by the Georgia CBF. This year our youth will immerse themselves in the lives of less fortunate people from around the world.
Throughout the weekend they will live, work, and eat like those who live in third world countries.
