Last week, fifteen of our third through sixth grade children attended our annual HHBC Children’s Camp at Lake Sinclair Village. The children and their counselors enjoyed three days of Bible study, recreation, crafts, and worship. The theme for this year’s camp was The Amazing Race, and we all learned the importance of following God while we are in the race of life.
Children’s Camp is a long-standing tradition at Highland Hills, and while it is a time filled with fun and friendship, it is also a time of spiritual growth for our children. We give thanks for our children who were able to attend this year and for our awesome counselors who went along to care for our children. This year’s Children’s Camp counselors were Jay Davis, Caitlyn DuCharme, Ruth DuCharme, Wimberley Rader, Alisa Rehberg, Emma Tatum, and Tim Trotter. A big thanks also goes to Randy and Kathy Candler for coming to camp on Tuesday to fish with the children.
