Small Group Discussion and Book Study

Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience, by Brené Brown

Facilitated by Dianne Fuller

September 7 - November 16

Gather with us to read and learn together as Brené Brown’s book, Atlas of the Heart, takes us on a journey through eighty-seven of the emotions and experiences that define what it means to be us. Using the analogy of mapmaking, Brown delves into the frameworks we create to make meaningful connections, heal deep hurts, grow in our self-awareness and gives us the language to make sense of what we experience. In today’s world, where polarization and strife divide us, Brown helps us adopt the tools to share our stories in a way that builds connection.

The 10-week study will meet in the Spinks-Gurley room on Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. beginning on September 7 and ending on November 16. The book, which costs $18—$26, can be purchased through Amazon or other online sellers.

Contact Dianne Fuller by August 28 to sign up for the book study.
