Caring for Our Congregation Retreat Highlights

In February, HHBC embarked on a journey of discovery and ministry in a weekend-long course called Caring for Our Congregation. Participants learned how to take care of our active members and provide care and encouragement to our inactive members.

Caring for Our Congregation Weekend Retreat: February 25-26

Retreat to Help us Care for Each Other

Caring for Our Congregation
Weekend Retreat: February 25-26

How can our congregation be a more caring home for all of our members? When people drop out of the life of our congregation, how can we invite them back without pressuring them? These are just a few of the questions that we will address during the weekend retreat, Caring for Our Congregation.

This course teaches very practical ways for our congregation to relate lovingly and caringly with people who are actively involved in the life of our church and also those who have become inactive.

The weekend retreat, held on Saturday, February 25 (10am – 3:30pm) and Sunday, February 26 (12pm – 3:15pm), will be led by Cheryl Sjoquist and John Jarrard, two of our Stephen Ministers. The retreat will take place in the Great Room at Highland Hills. Lunch will be provided both days and all participants will receive a workbook. The retreat is free but donations are welcome.
