It's Not Really About Toilet Paper

It’s not really about toilet paper. It’s about losing control of our lives in a world that has suddenly flown off its orderly axis into uncharted space. While we cannot control the silent enemy around us, we can control our preparedness, so we hoard toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and food.

Having been raised to believe “God helps those who help themselves, I admittedly have a fear of the unknown. As a mother, my primary concern is the protection of my family. How do we protect ourselves and our families when the rules change daily? The world as we have known it is gone; we are being bombarded with “new norms” and daily infection and death tallies; we know not what the future holds once this crisis is over, but we know it will be vastly different.

If you feel you have lost control of your life and need someone to listen, Stephen Ministers are available during these days of crisis or for as long as you need someone. Click to schedule a conversation with a Stephen Minister or call Referrals Coordinator Peggy Williams at (478) 719-3340.

Recognizing that God is the ultimate Cure Giver, the Mission of the Highland Hills Baptist Church Stephen Ministry is to serve God and bring Christ’s healing love to individuals who are experiencing life’s challenges through confidential, non-judgmental, one-on-one Christian care.
