Jake, a native of Columbus, Georgia, is a recent transplant to Macon from Canton, Georgia, where he served as pastor of Heritage Baptist Fellowship. He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he met his wife, Erin. After they married in 2000, Jake began seminary at Duke University, where he received an M.Div. Jake is a graduate of the Pastoral Residency program of Wilshire Baptist Church. In 2013, he completed a Doctorate of Ministry at Mercer University’s James and Carolyn McAfee School of Theology.
Jake and Erin have served in several churches before coming to Highland Hills. Erin, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, enjoys teaching, writing, and being with people. She is a graduate of Samford University and received an M.Div. from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2008. Jake also enjoys weightlifting, cooking, hosting friends in their home, laughing, watching movies, and playing with their lovable dog, Annabelle. The Halls find their greatest joy in spending time with people, and helping them to become Christ followers. Jake and Erin have a son, Logan, and love spending time with this five-year-old ball of energy.
