Beer Talks
A Pub Theology Group in Macon
Have you ever wanted a place where you could safely talk about faith and current events, all while sharing a pint?

On the first Sunday of every month, all are welcome to have friendly conversations about difficult and divisive topics. We offer Pub Theology at Bearfoot Tavern on the first Sunday of every month at 6 p.m.

What is Pub Theology?
Come bring your questions, your curiosity, and pull up a chair. The format is simple: beer, conversation, and God. Be ready to engage with people of varying religious traditions, philosophical perspectives, and life experiences. You'll be able to share your own wrestlings and thoughts while learning something new along the way, and hey—there's likely to be a good craft beer you haven't tried yet!

Question of the Month: June
Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan wrote: "Jesus did not die for the sins of the world. He was killed because of the sin of the world." What is the difference? Do you agree with their assessment? If what they say is accurate, what are the theological implications when it comes to atonement?
