Do You Know Spiritual Gifts are the tangible and practical work of God in our lives?

Every Christian has at least one spiritual gift and can experience the Holy Spirit in a very direct way.  One of the most effective ways for Christians to grow as followers of Jesus is to discover their spiritual gifts and thereby uncover God’s call for their life and service.  Christians who know their spiritual gifts have a clearer, more focused understanding of God’s will for their lives.  The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:7, “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”

Why should we discover our gifts?  For the work of the ministry.  Why ministry? For building up the body of Christ.  Why build up the body of Christ?  For unity of faith and knowledge, and to mature to the full stature of Christ. 

There are three D’s involved in the process of dealing with Spiritual Gifts:
Discovery – Finding out what our spiritual gifts are.
Development – Bringing those gifts to their full potential.
Deployment – Using our spiritual gifts.
